Visit to Nigeria by Mr. Kobayashi, Chairman, Policy Research Council, LDP (Japan)

From 30 April to 1 May, Mr. Takayuki Kobayashi, Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party’s Policy Research Council, and his delegation visited Nigeria.
During the visit, Chairman Kobayashi met with H.E. Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sen. George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation; Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, Hon. Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil); Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu (CON), Hon. Minister of Budget and Economic Planning; and H.E. Dr. Uuzoka-Anite, Honorable Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, and exchanged views on strengthening relations between the two countries.
In addition to the government officials, he also held meetings with Engr. Adeleye Falade, CEO and Managing Director of Nigeria LNG; Mr. Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive, Dangote Group; Mr. Devakumar Edwin, Vice President of Dangote Industries Limited; and representatives of Japanese companies operating in Nigeria, and exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations in the economic sphere and attracting greater investments by Japanese companies in the country.
