Taste of Japan in Lagos

On 7th March, The Embassy of Japan in Nigeria hosted a Japanese food and beverage tasting event,“Taste of Japan” in Lagos. We welcomed around 100 guests, including business stakeholders such as Japanese restaurant owners, consumers interested in Japanese cuisine, and the media.
Participants enjoyed around 15 varieties of Japanese beverages (including sake), along with Japanese dishes such as sushi and tempura prepared by the Ambassador’s Residence Chef. Guests also experienced Japanese culture through a matcha experience corner and bon odori (a traditional Japanese dance). The event provided an opportunity to showcase the appeal of Japanese food and beverages, introduce Japanese culture, and promote networking among Japanese and Nigerian business stakeholders in the food sector.
