Ambassador’s Visit to the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilisation

On 18 February 2026, Ambassador SUZUKI Hideo made the first visit by a Japanese ambassador to the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilisation (CBAAC) in Lagos, where he was deeply moved by the numerous beautiful works of art created and carefully preserved across African nations.
The Ambassador was warmly received by Hon. Aisha Adamu Augie, the Director-General of CBAAC, and they exchanged views with great expectations regarding the promotion of cultural exchange between Japan and Nigeria in the years ahead.
