Ambassador Suzuki Visits Honda’s Motorcycle and Automobile Plants

On 15 August 2025, Ambassador SUZUKI Hideo visited Honda’s motorcycle and automobile assembly plants in Lagos, where he toured the assembly facilities and held discussions with the representatives from Honda Automobile Western Africa Ltd and Honda Manufacturing Nigeria Ltd.
During the meeting, Honda representatives briefed Ambassador SUZUKI on the current state of Nigeria’s automotive market, as well as Honda’s operations and challenges in Nigeria.
Ambassador Suzuki reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to continue supporting Honda in carrying out its business in Nigeria.
The visit also provided an opportunity for Ambassador SUZUKI to meet with local engineers and staff, and to acknowledge their contributions to quality manufacturing. This engagement highlighted the role of Japanese companies in creating jobs and strengthening economic ties between Japan and Nigeria.
