Japan Celebrated the NSIA Prize for Innovation 3.0 Demo Day

On 2 August 2025, Mr. KOZAKI Hitoshi, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Japan, attended the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) Prize for Innovation (NPI) 3.0 Demo Day at the Abuja Continental Hotel.
The NPI 3.0 seeks to identify, build, and finance early-stage innovative solutions to foster economic growth, enhance the national capacity, and create jobs, focusing particularly on three priority sectors: agriculture, health and education.
At the Demo Day, 10 finalists presented their pitches to the judges. The event was also attended by Mr. Wale Edun, OFR, Honourable Minister of Finance & Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Aminu Umar-Sadiq, MD & CEO of NSIA and Mr. Joseph Giblin, Economic Counselor, U.S. Embassy Abuja.
Ahead of the upcoming TICAD9, which aims to “Co-Create Innovative Solutions with Africa,” Japan reaffirms its commitment to establishing a robust framework for private sector-driven growth, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, in partnership with Nigeria.
