Briefing to the Nigeria–Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group

On July 22, 2025, Ambassador SUZUKI Hideo hosted an intensive briefing session for members of the Nigeria–Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Ambassador’s Residence.
This briefing session was attended by the representatives of the three Japanese companies, JETRO, JICA and six members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group. During the briefing, the Japanese participants shared the outcomes of the 3rd meeting of the Japan–Nigeria Business Facilitation Council (JNBFC), discussing their activities in Nigeria and the business challenges faced by Japanese companies. The members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group reaffirmed their commitment to working together toward practical and constructive solutions for these challenges with a view to fostering the bilateral business exchanges.
Ambassador Suzuki expressed his appreciation for the active engagement and goodwill of the Friendship Group, and emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration between policymakers and the business community. He reiterated Japan’s intention to strengthen the bilateral partnership and continue working together to improve the business environment.
