The Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) Day Reception

Summary : On 3rd July, Ambassador KIKUTA hosted the 3rd Japan Self-Defense Forces Day Reception to commemorate the formation of JSDF. We had about 200 guests made up of Nigerian military and security persons, diplomats, international organizations and Japanese business persons. We showcased information on JSDF and Japan’s grassroots projects. Japanese sushi and sake were served, with exhibitions of Japanese products on the sideline. Following the Nigerian and Japanese national anthems, Ambassador mentioned in his speech the beginning of the new era “Reiwa” and the 2nd term of President Buhari, as well as Japan’s contribution to security and JSDF’s role towards peace and stability in Nigeria and the world.
