Basic requirement for visa application with a certificate of elibility in the time of COVID-19 are following.

(1)Valid Passport

(2)1 Visa application form https://www.ng.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_en/00_000092.html#Downloadable
 
(Note1)Please fill out every field of visa application form accurately and completely.
If item is not applicable, please fill in [N/A].
(Notes2)Applicant must sign by himself/herself on the second page of visa
application form, and the signature must correspond with the signature on the
passport.

(3)1 Photo (45mm × 45mm, taken within 6 month and glued to the space provided on the
visa application form.)

(4)Flight reservation slip (photocopy is acceptable)
(Note 1) We do not require purchase of flight tickets.
(Note 2) Intended date of departure from Nigeria on your flight reservation slip needs to be at least in one month time from the date of visa application. 

(5)The valid original Certificate of Eligibility
 
(Note 1) Click here for the period of validity of certificate of eligibility and confirm whether your certificate of eligiblitiy is valid.
(Note 2) For certificates of eligibility which issued on or after January 1, 2020 and have passed more than 3 months from the date of issuance, a letter stating the content (A) (B) (C) below is required at the time of visa application;
 
(A) The activities that the visa applicant listed below intends to engage in Japan are the same to the activities that the applicant was engaged at the time of application for the certificate of eligibility that was issued on (issuance date), and the visa applicant can continue to be accepted in accordance with the same activities.

(B) Detail of visa applicant (Name, Nationality, Date of Birth)

(C) Detail of inviter (Name, Relationship to the visa applicant, Address, Telephone number)

 
Considering the current Novel coronavirus outbreak, visits to the consular section are by appointment only and the consular section opens from 8:30 - 11:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday except Embassy's closure days.
