Japan Self-Defense Forces Day Dinner

On the occasion of the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) Day, the Embassy of Japan held the Japan Self-Defense Forces Day Dinner on 15th November hosted by the Japanese Ambassador, MATSUNAGA Kazuyoshi, with many thanks to the Honorable Minister of Defense, the National Security Advisor, and the Chief of Defence Staff, who were ably represented at the event (Photo No.1). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we could not hold our usual yearly reception.
We had a special guest, Mr. MORIMOTO Satoshi, who was Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Japan in Lagos, Nigeria, in 1985, and later became Defense Minister of Japan. He kindly sent us a video message.
At the dinner, Ambassador MATSUNAGA talked about Japan’s contribution to Nigeria on national security, and exchanged opinions with the guests on security issues as well as economic development cooperation.
